Cantex Senior Communities was formed in 1978. Today, Cantex operates 16 nursing homes and 1 assisted living center with a total of 1630 licensed beds. In addition, we own 2 more properties in the Dallas metroplex on which we are developing new state-of-the-art skilled nursing centers. These properties are located in Carrollton and Frisco and combined will provide over 300 new SNF beds that will open in 2007. Cantex operates exclusively in Texas and is certified under the federal Medicare program and participates in the Texas Medicaid program. We also own and operate a captive institutional pharmacy that provides pharmacy services to each of the 16 nursing centers. Rehabilitation therapy is also provided to Cantex residents by our in-house therapy division.
Cantex Senior Communities is a privately-owned skilled nursing company operating exclusively in Texas. Each of the 16 nursing centers provide 24 hour, 7 day a week licensed nursing care surrounded by ancillary staff that can offer exceptional rehabilitation therapy, nutritional services, activities including van outings, social services, housekeeping and laundry services.
